Industrial Outreach Symposium December 06, 2007 Tucson Arizona

The Department of Radiology at the University of Arizona carries out research in many areas of potential interest to industry. At the Symposium, we will have open discussions about establishing an ongoing Industrial Affiliates Program to keep participating companies abreast of opportunities arising from our research and allow them regular contact with our students and faculty.

Program

Research and clinical faculty will present short descriptions of specific projects and discuss ways in which they might be commercialized. There will be opportunities to meet with individual researchers and to visit their facilities on Friday, December 7.

Topics of active investigation include:

  • Novel detectors and imaging systems for SPECT and PET

  • New imaging sequences and data-analysis methods in MRI

  • Innovative approaches to ultrasound

  • Radiopharmaceuticals and other biomarkers for molecular imaging

  • Theory and practice of task-based assessment of image quality

  • Human factors in medical imaging

  • In vivo optical imaging

  • Adaptive and multimodality imaging

  • Preclinical imaging systems and techniques

  • Interventional imaging

  • Translational cancer imaging

  • Mathematical modeling and image science

There is no cost for participation in the Outreach Symposium and lunch will be provided, but we do request that you register in advance. Please complete the registration form so we know how many attendees to expect. Feel free to pass this invitation on to others in your company.
